Have you ever thought soda was just too sweet for your taste (or your waistline)?
This weekend, take a swig of GuS Soda, a new item at Potash Markets that calls itself the first soda for grown-ups.
Founded in 2003 in New York by Steve Hersh and Jeannette Loah, GuS’s goal was to create a bubbly beverage that wasn’t as sweet as regular soda, but wasn’t as boring as flavored seltzers.
Growing up, Hersh says he remembers his father always adding seltzer to juice and soda to cut the sweetness and make it more refreshing. It had the added benefit of also cutting the calories — a big plus for grown-ups who aren’t fans of artificial diet drinks.
Today, GuS sodas are made with real juice and natural cane sugar, with only 90 to 98 calories per bottle. Try one of their fun, yet grown-up, flavors.
GuS Soda Flavors:
- Dry Root Beer
- Dry Cola
- Dry Pomegranate
- Star Ruby Grapefruit
- Dry Valencia Orange
- Grape Black Currant
- Extra Dry Ginger Ale
- Dry Meyer Lemon
- Dry Cranberry Lime
Stop in to try one of these unique GuS sodas from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, April 27 at Potash Market’s Clark Street location and on Saturday, April 28 at the State Street location.
