Perrier (PAIR-EE-AY) water is naturally carbonated, and the most popular brand of carbonated water worldwide. It is bottled from a spring located in Vergèze, France. The Perrier company maintains over 1200 acres of land around the spring, and has established guidelines for use on the 8500 acres around that. This insures the sustained purity of the water produced by the spring in Vergèze.
The spring from which Perrier is drawn has been used as a spa for over 2000 years. A local doctor, Louis Perrier, bought the spring in 1898 and began bottling the water for sale. Perrier water is purported to have “50 million bubbles” per bottle and it is this carbonation that makes it a refreshing way to beat the heat this sumer, or any time of year.
This week we're featuring Bells Pale: bitterness balanced with smooth malts, allowing the hop flavors to be bold, but not too aggressive.
Bell's Amber, their flagship ale, made from mostly pase malt, with some Munich and caramel malts, giving it a touch of sweetness, balanced by American hops.
These beers are unique and exceptional brews for the true beer afficionado.
Bell's Oberon Ale, their current seasonal brew: a wheat ale, mixing a spicy hop character with mildly fruity aromas. A classic summer beer!
